I have many memories of happy days of sightseeing "tours" with Jane and other friends,  usually Mary and Nick.  When my husband, Martin, and I were living overseas it was a pleasure to show visitors around and it encouraged me to explore on my own so I could be a knowledgeable "tour guide".  Jane was always a very enthusiastic guest and we enjoyed many, sometimes eventful trips together, usually being topped off with a fine dining experience in the evening.  When we returned to the UK we moved to the south coast so the tradition of acting as "tour guide" continued with Jane visiting many times.  Her gourmet knowledge, especially of cheese, was impressive and we were particularly pleased when she brought a gift of different cheeses on one visit.
