As cousins and all living in Croydon, we (Jane and Judith, Susan, Margaret and John, Jacky and Anne and later William and Gillian) used to spend a lot of time together as children. While the Pollards Hill branch were in Canada, Jane and I used to write to one another. When I was about to do my 11 plus Jane sent me a ‘good luck’ letter and drew 4 leaved clovers all round the letter. I can still picture it. Sue x
